Indore: Recently, 14 blood donation camps were organized in various parts of the city, as part of a mega campaign, "Manavata ka MahaAbhiyan" at the Agrawal Complex in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The blood donation camp initiative was carried out by the city's Balaji Sewarth Vinod Agrawal Foundation and Manavata ki Pehchaan NGO on the birth anniversary of the biggest industrialist of Madhya Pradesh and social worker, Vinod Agrawal, to encourage mass blood donation and raise awareness about its importance among the general public. This was at the time of scorching heat and soaring temperatures, when the city's blood banks faced a blood shortage, and the needy patients were bearing difficulties in timely arrangement. The successful completion of the campaign is now a registered achievement in the India Book of Records (IBR) for the Maximum blood donation camps organized in a day (June 8, 2025).

Of the 14 blood donation camps organized in Indore, over 1000 units of blood were collected

Within the 3-day initiative, more than 1000 units of blood were collected from 14 blood donation camps in the city, 10 of which commenced successfully on the first day itself. The collected blood was provided to Madhya Pradesh's largest government healthcare facility, MY (Maharaja Yeshwantrao) hospital, and the city's Aurobindo hospital, along with the Red Cross Society-operated Blood Bank. This will ensure the timely availability of blood in the city. The facilitation event also instilled awareness about the health benefits of blood donation and the whole-hearted service to society.

Anurag Sachdeva, founder and Chairman of Manavta ki Pehchaan NGO, elated with the achievement, shares, "The initiative is a success because of the persistent efforts of the volunteers of our organization. They ensured a sufficient number of possible blood donations from the city. We conducted awareness campaigns in schools, gyms, yoga centers, gardens, and open public spaces, so that more and more people connect with us and come forward for blood donation."

Renowned Industrialist and Chairman of the Agrawal Group, Vinod Agrawal, added, "The Balaji Sewarth Vinod Agrawal Foundation is presently working for various social and religious causes. Through this blood donation initiative, we aim to help and hope to save as many lives as possible. We will continue working towards the same."
