So let’s dive into the history of Om Banna dham,
Om singh rathore [known as Om Banna] was born in chotila village in the powerful thakur family. It is said that once when he was travelling from the town of Bangdi near Pali to Chotila, he lost control from his Bullet and hit a tree. He died on the spot whereas the motorcycle fell nearby. The next morning after the accident, local police took the motorcycle to a nearby police station. The next day it was mysteriously disappeared from the station and was found back at the site of the incident. Police, once again, took the motorcycle, this time emptying its fuel tank and putting it under lock. Despite their efforts, the next morning it again disappeared and was found at the accident site.
This came to be seen as a miracle by localites and they began to worship the Royal Enfield Bullet 350cc with the number plate RNJ 7773 belonging to the late Om Singh Rathod. News of the miracle motorcycle spreaded to nearby villages and later they built a temple. It is worshipped by hundreds of people who come here every day. This temple also known as Bullet Baba's Temple. Localities believe that Om Banna's spirit helps the lost travelers to reach their destination.
Every day nearby villagers and travelers stop to pray the bike and some drivers also offer small bottles of alcohol. It is said that a person who does not stop to pray may have a dangerous journey. Devotees also tie a red thread on the motorbike. Local people sing folk songs in the name of Om Banna.
A filmmaker also made a short film named 'Dug Dug' in 2021 on a story similar to the history of Banna.
