PM Modi hits out at Mahagathbandhan with katta jibe again in Sitamarhi, says Jungle Raj got 65-volt jhatka

Highlights PM Modi attacked at the opposition while addressing an election rally in Sitamarhi He continued with his "katta" jibe, hitting out at the "Jungle Raj" He said that RJD wants children to carry kattas and dunalis, while NDA is giving them books, computers, and laptops - not weapons

The first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections has concluded, while campaigning for the upcoming second phase is in full swing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a mega rally in Sitamarhi, with another one in Bettiah, while Home Minister Amit Shah addressed another massive one in Bhagalpur. On Friday, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, met silk weavers there.

Addressing the people in Sitamarhi, the PM said, "In the first phase of the elections, the people of Bihar voted in large numbers. The people of Bihar got a 65-volt jhatka."

Reiterating his attack on Jungle Raj, he added, "What RJD wants to do with the people of Bihar is clearly visible in their election campaign. Listen to the songs and slogans of the Jungle Raj people. You will be shocked. On RJD's stages, innocent children are being made to say that they want to become extortionists. Should a child of Bihar become an extortionist or a doctor?... Will we let them win who want our children to be extortionists?"

PM Modi questioned, "Should the child from Bihar become a gangster or a doctor?" Asserting, "The child from Bihar will no longer become a gangster, but rather an engineer, doctor, advocate, and judge in the court."

Hitting out at the Mahagathbandhan with his "katta" jibe, he stated, "In the past, Bihar saw a culture where people carried katta (country-made pistols), and shouted Hands up. But that era is over. Today, Bihar needs children who want to build startups, not those who follow leaders promoting fear. We are equipping our youth with books, computers, and laptops - not weapons. But, the RJD wants them to carry kattas and dunalis."

Further targeting Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Prasad Yadav, the PM said, "Rahul baba and Lalu ji say that infiltrators should be protected. I want to tell both of them, we will identify infiltrators, delete their names from the voter list, and deport them back to their country. There will be no place for infiltrators on the soil of Semmanchal. Friends, our government is set to be formed in Bihar, but even a small mistake could bring back Jungl Raj."

In the first phase of the assembly elections, the voter turnout was recorded at 64.66%, which is the highest-ever in Bihar. Voting was conducted in 121 constituencies in 18 districts. The second phase of voting is scheduled on November 11, with the counting of votes to be done on November 14.
