The Congress leader shared a video of students protesting in Uttarakhand, saying that the recent paper leak in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) reflects the failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.┬а

He stated, "The UKSSSC paper leak in Uttarakhand is its latest example. Lakhs of youth toiled day and night, but BJP has dashed all their hard work through theft."

After an exam in Haridwar, three pages of the UKSSSC exam question paper surfaced online, which led to outrage among aspirants. Police arrested Khalid Malik, who allegedly made it to the exam hall with a mobile phone and clicked pictures of the question paper, and circulated them online. The state government also suspended an assistant professor, the sector magistrate, and two police officers. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter.┬а

The aspirants, meanwhile, carried out protests and hunger strikes demanding exam cancellation and a CBI inquiry. The outrage spread across major towns, including Dehradun, Haldwani, Almora, and Uttarkashi.┬а

Moroever, Rahul Gandhi linked the paper leak with┬а"vote chori", saying that unemployment and electoral malpractices were connected. Adding, "Today, unemployment is the biggest problem in the country, and it is directly linked to vote theft. The paper thieves know - even if the youths don't get jobs, they will remain in power by stealing votes in elections."┬а

He called the paper leak a matter of "justice and democracy." Ensuring his support to the students, Gandhi concluded, "The youth are on the streets and chanting the slogan - 'Paper thief, leave the throne!' This is not just a fight for the youth's jobs; this is a fight for justice and democracy. I stand firmly with every student and youth in this fight for justice."┬а
