Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing an election rally in Bihar's Saran district on Friday, took a sharp dig at RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) as he predicted a big win for NDA in the upcoming state assembly elections.

Shah slammed the RJD for giving a ticket to the late gangster turned politician Mohammad Shahabuddin's son, Osama Shahab, questioning how it would protect the people of Bihar if it fields such candidates.

He said, "I have seen RJD's candidate list, and it contains the name of Shahabuddin's son. Can Bihar remain safe if RJD gives the election ticket to Shahabuddin's son?"

Shahab will be contesting from the Raghunathpur assembly constituency in the Siwan district.

He also went on to predict that the NDA will retain power, that too with the biggest majority in 20 years.

Praise for CM Nitish: Made Bihar free from "Jungle Raj"

Amit Shah also showered praises on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, stating that the latter freed Bihar from "Jungle Raj" in the past 20 years.

He said, "People in Bihar are celebrating four Diwalis this year -- on the day of Diwali, on the day when the NDA government transferred Rs 10,000 in the accounts of 'Jeevika Didis', on the day when GST was reduced, and on November 14, when the results of the election will be announced."

Shah also announced that the NDA government in Bihar successfully curbed migration in the state. Adding, "So much infrastructural work has been done in Bihar that it doesn't even take five hours to travel from one corner of Bihar to another. This development has been done together by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Before our government came here, migration, extortion, murders, and kidnappings were common."

He said that during the UPA government at the Center, terrorists used to play Holi with blood, but it was the Modi Government that went on to strike terror camps inside Pakistan.

Shah affirmed, "Tell me, is Kashmir ours or not? Should Article 370 in J&K have been removed or not? PM Modi abrogated Article 370 in J&K and connected Kashmir to the mainstream. Under Congress, terrorists used to play Holi with blood."
