Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed an election rally in Bihar's Khagaria on Saturday, where he took a dig at Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi, stating that he could not protect infiltrators by carrying out a 'Ghuspetiyo Bachao Yatra'.Â
The remarks were in reference to Rahul's 'Vote Adhikar Yatra', which was held in August this year.Â
Shah also took a swipe at RJD leader and India bloc's Chief Minister face Tejaswi Yadav for his remarks related to crime in Bihar. The Home Minister gave a response saying that serious crimes declined in Bihar under the NDA's 20-year rule.Â
Adding, "I was listening that former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav's son (Tejaswi Yadav) was talking about loot, murder, and crime in Bihar. This is, 'Sau chuhe kha kar, billi haj ko chali.' In Nitish Kumar's tenure of the last 20 years, there has been a 20 percent decline in cases of murder compared to 2005."Â
Slamming the Mahagathbandhan, Shah said that the upcoming Bihar elections are not just about electing representatives. "This election is not just to make someone MLA, minister, or CM. These elections are being contested to decide whether to bring 'Jungle Raaj' or 'Vikas Raaj' in the state."Â
He went on further criticizing, "Mahagathbandhan, Lathbandhan, which have a record of corruption, can they develop Bihar? Only Narendra Modi and Nitish Babu, who are not accused of even a penny's worth of corruption, can develop Bihar."Â

Back in the day, Tejaswi Yadav hit out at the BJP, calling it "scared" by the nomination of a leader from the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) as the INDIA bloc's Deputy CM face for the assembly elections.Â
He said, "The hatred of the BJP towards the EBC community has come out in the open. They are repeatedly questioning the nomination of Mukesh Sahani as our Deputy CM candidate. Why is Amit Shah so frustrated by the nomination of an EBC leader as Bihar's Deputy CM candidate?"Â
He further pointed out that the BJP, which describes religious minorities as "infiltrators," is now questioning why the INDIA bloc hasn't named a Muslim leader as its Deputy CM face.Â
Tejaswi said, "The BJP, which has been repeatedly abusing religious minorities and threatening to send them to Pakistan, is now worried about their representation. We will soon address their concerns. I have always maintained that this nation is for everyone. All the people of India, irrespective of their religion or caste, have contributed their bit to build this nation."Â Â
