He said, "The trumpet of the grand festival of democracy has sounded. The entire Bihar is saying "Phir ek baar, NDA Sarkar..." This time, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, Bihar will break all its previous records of victory. Bihar will give NDA its biggest-ever mandate."

"You all are getting the benefits of 'GST Bachat Utsav', and from tomorrow, the grand festival of Chhat Puja will begin. I thank you all for coming here in large numbers...' Nayi raftar se chalega Bihar, jab phir aayegi NDA sarkar (Bihar will move ahead at a new pace when the NDA government comes again)."

Praising the Nitish Kumar-led government in the state, he said, "Our NDA Government fulfilled the demand for constitutional status to OBC. There is a focus on studies in local languages under the New Education Policy (NEP)."

The PM also took a sharp dig at the opposition, RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal), questioning the people, "Har ek ke haath mein light hai toh lantern (RJD symbol) chahiye kya? (When everyone has a light in their hand, then do they need a lantern?)"

He further accused the RJD of increased crimes in the state, saying, "Murder, kidnapping prospered as 'industry' during RJD rule in Bihar, victimized women, and poor people."

CM Nitish Kumar, Union Minister Chirag Paswan, among others, were also present at the gathering on stage with PM Modi in Samastipur.

Ahead of the Chhat Puja (from 25th Oct to 27th Oct), the PM urged citizens to join in the spirit of devotion and cultural unity by sharing songs of Chhati Mayya for a few days during the festival.

The political landscape in Bihar has already heated up as the assembly election dates approach. Polls for the 243-member Bihar assembly will be conducted in two phases - on November 6 and 11. It's a high-stakes battle between the ruling NDA (comprising of BJP, JD(U), HAM, RLM, and the Lok Janshakti Party- Ram Vilas) and the Opposition-led INDIA bloc, i.e., the Mahagathbandhan of RJD, Congress, CPI, CPI(ML), CPM, and VIP. Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Movement can further change the electoral dynamics in the state.
