Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Srisailam, Nandyal district, during his visit to Andhra Pradesh. He performed the Rudrabhishekam with Panchamruthalu (a sacred mixture formed of cow milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar). 

 

 

 

After this, PM Modi also visited the Sri Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra, which is a memorial complex dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. 

Multiple development projects inaugurated in Kurnool 

Following the darshan and puja at the Mallikarjuna Swamy temple, the PM headed for Kurnool, where he inaugurated multiple development projects valued at nearly Rs 13,430 crore across various sectors, including power, defense, railways, as well as petroleum. 

 

 

Some of these include:

  • Foundation stone for the transmission system strengthening at Kurnool III Pooling station, worth over Rs 2,880 crore. With the project, there will be an increase in the transformation capacity, which will lead to large-scale transmission of renewable energy. 

  • The foundation stone of the Orvakal Industrial area (Kurnool) and the Kopparthy Industrial area (Kadapa), together valued at Rs 4,920 crore. The industrial hubs are projected to attract around Rs 21,000 crore in investments, with over one lakh jobs. 

PM's address to the gathering: 21st century is going to be the century of India 

Addressing the gathering at the event, the PM said, "As Chandrababu said, looking at this rapid pace, I can say that, in 2047, when it will be 100 years of independence, India will be developed. I am confident that the 21st century is going to be the century of India. The 21st century is going to be the century of 1.4 billion Indians."

Expressing his gratitude towards the people of Srisailam, he stated, "I am fortunate to have been born in Gujarat, the land of Dada Somnath. I had the opportunity to serve Kashi, the land of Baba Vishwanath, and today, I am receiving the blessings of Srisailam." 

He also revealed that Google is making the largest investment in Andhra Pradesh, making it the new "AI hub" with powerful AI infrastructure, data center capacity, large-scale energy sources, and an expanded fiber-optic network, news agency ANI reported. The PM added, "A new international subsea gateway will be built. This project will establish Vishakhapatnam as an AI and connectivity hub. It will serve not only India, but the entire world."
