Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, cracked down on the Election Commission outside the Parliament on Friday, accusing the constitutional body of 'vote chori (vote theft)'.Â
While talking to reporters outside the Parliament, Rahul Gandhi said, "We have open and shut proof that the Election Commission is involved in vote theft. I am saying this with 100% proof."Â
The Congress leader also claimed that the Election Commission of India is working for the BJP (Bhartiya Janata Party). He alleged, "As soon as we release it (the proof), the entire nation will come to know that the Election Commission is working for the BJP to steal votes. We had suspicions in the Madhya Pradesh elections, the Lok Sabha elections, and our suspicions grew during the Maharashtra elections, especially when we saw that 1 crore new voters had been added to the list. We conducted our own investigation for six months, and what we got is an atom bomb."Â

Gandhi further added, "The Election Commission won't be visible in the country when this atom bomb explodes. Whoever is doing this in the Election Commission, right from the top to bottom...we won't spare them because they are working against India. This is treason and nothing less than that. Wherever you are, even if you are retired, we will find you."Â
Rahul Gandhi's comments come after the Election Commission released the draft electoral rolls in Bihar after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise ahead of the scheduled assembly elections in the state.Â
The INDIA bloc has been protesting against the Bihar SIR in Parliament for a few days now. They are also demanding a discussion in both Houses on the SIR of electoral rolls in Bihar.Â
The Election Commission hasn't responded to these allegations.Â
