In a thrilling test match at Old Trafford, India was left far behind in the first innings, and then, standing at 1 for 2, it bounced back, escaping with a draw. It was more than 150 overs, and 300 runs to go, when skipper Shubhman Gill and KL Rahul took charge, building a 188-run partnership. Another massive score of 203 by Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar led India to manage a draw in the fourth Test match at Old Trafford on Sunday. England leads 2-1 in the five-match test series, with the decider of the Tendulkar-Anderson trophy 2025 to take place at the Oval.

20 days of play, but England couldn't pull off a decisive win, having to settle for a draw. This miraculous escape is one remarkable event in history, marked by the Indian Cricket Team's valor, strength, and invincibility, which was new and young, hit with injuries, and lagging in the match. It all seemed gloomy on Day 4, when India was 0 for 2, but then two batters turned the tide. KL Rahul scored 90 like his classic self, and Shubhman Gill hit 103 at No.4, another mammoth score from his bat.

Then the ship sailed through in the hands of Ravindra Jadeja (107) and Washington Sundar (101), who stood batting at the crease until the end of the day. This was Washington Sundar's first hundred in the Tests, an innings built with grit and confidence, at a time when the team needed him.

Coming over to Ravindra Jadeja, a day, a match, or a 'series to remember'. In four innings, he had scored four successive half-centuries: 69*, 89, 72, and 61* respectively. He finally got his test hundred this time, a fifth in the format.

During the drinks break, England Captain Ben Stokes offered a handshake to Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, which they denied. The Indian batters went on to finish their test hundreds, after which they shook hands.

With one more test match of the series remaining, Indian batters have scored a total of 3018 runs. Shubhman Gill has scored the highest with 702 runs, batting at an average of 90.25. The list includes KL Rahul (511 at 63.87), Rishabh Pant (479 at 68.42), and Ravindra Jageja (411 at 102.75). Jadeja has even surpassed Joe Root in this series.

England posted 669 in the first innings of the fourth test. While India were all out at 358 in the first innings. They neared the score and sealed it to a draw with 425/4 on the fifth day. The last match of the series is set to be played at the Oval from July 31st, 2025.
